Nei Gong Foundations

If you are new to training with Sophie or Lotus Nei Gong, please read this before booking.

This weekend is a great place for those who feel the call to begin their Nei Gong journey, as well as also a great check in on the basic principals for those with an already established practice. We will also clear up any alignment or misunderstandings from those of you who have predominantly been training online.

No previous experience is necessary however please read up on training Nei Gong to make sure feel you are a good fit for this pracice.

During these three days we will begin the foundation work necessary for entering into the Nei Gong process. This will include body conditioning, clearing and purging the system of physical and emotional stagnation, theory to align the awareness and direct transmission to awaken the Lower Dan Tian. The focus of the days will be upon wuji and the kua.

These are the methods classically required in Daoist schools to assist the student in entering into this transformative process; without one of these ingredients the students progress will be inhibited or even halted. This is the method taught by Lotus Nei Gong, the school for which Sophie is a senior teacher.

What is included in your retreat:

16 hours (approx.) of training including sitting practice, Nei Gong, forms, body conditioning, lectures, Q&A sessions, women’s sessions and environmental training.

Use of heated, low-chemical indoor pool – helpful for releasing the joints/aches.

Own room or shared room in the retreat centre; all linen/towels supplied (if residential).

High quality vegetarian, local, mostly organic food; most diets catered for (just ask); snacks, teas, fruit, etc. included.

Zafus, cushions, blankets & bolsters for sitting practice provided.
